Skiing and Kneeboarding

I started in the summer of '94 trying to get up on 2 skis most every weekend on Lake Martin. I got better and better, to the point that I could stay up and have some fun with it. At the same time I practiced kneeboarding and slowly got better at it.

During the summer of '95 I learned how to slalom, and I learned that skiing with 2 skis is nothing in comparison. I also got a lot better at knee boarding, the biggest rush was jumping the wake (clear from one side to the other). I hope to get some balls and try to flip, or maybe helicopter, when jumping next summer.

'96 I improved, I could kneeboard jumping across the wake from side to side as if I were going through a slalom course, and I finally got the knack of a slalom.

'97 was the last and best summer of all. I didn't accomplish any new tricks, no flips or helicopters, just had a blast with the old toys, and the new jet ski. Now I've moved away, and one day (soon!) will have to buy a boat and toys of my own.
